Magyarize
Pick a photo and put something Hungarian on it. A kokárda pins itself on by itself, and from there you add whatever you like: a flower crown, a Bocskai hat, a Matyó rose, a chimney cake, a string of drying paprika.
Why now
Because Szent István napja is on the twentieth of August, and a national day is a day people take photographs.
That is the whole reason this exists. It is a small, free, silly app made for one holiday and then left running all year. There is nothing to buy in it and nothing to sign up for, and there never will be.
What it does
You pick a photo. The app finds the face in it, on your own device, and works out where a kokárda would sit on the chest, at what size, and at what angle for the way that person is standing. Then it puts one there.
Everything after that is yours. Tap any sticker in the tray to add it, drag it, pinch it, turn it. Head-wear lands on the head rather than in the middle of the picture, because the app already knows where the head is.
Then save it, or send it to somebody.
Your photos never leave your phone. There is no server, no account, and no network code in the app at all.
The stickers
Eighteen of them, drawn from scratch in one flat folk style, in a palette taken from Kalocsa and Matyó embroidery rather than from the flag: rose, blush, cream, saffron, cornflower, plum and leaf. No clip art and no stock photographs.
What is deliberately not in it
No Holy Crown and no coat of arms. Both are protected state symbols under the 1995 act on national symbols, which names the Szentkorona directly, and a sticker app is not the place for them.
No maps, no politics, no party colours, and nothing at anybody's expense. It is folk art, food and a rosette.
Built to be usable
Every sticker can be selected, moved, resized, rotated, flipped and deleted with VoiceOver, using named actions rather than only by dragging, because dragging is exactly what a blind person cannot do. Everything scales with Dynamic Type.
