Terms of use

This page covers the commercial basics and the things specific to a health tracking app. Your use of the software itself is governed by Apple's licence, which you accept when you download it from the App Store.

Effective 18 September 2026. Made by Nikola Sretenovic, trading as Handful Apps.

Section 1: What these terms cover

Your licence to use the app is Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, accepted when you download from the App Store. That is the agreement governing the software. Where Apple's agreement and this page disagree, Apple's agreement wins for anything concerning the app.

This page covers the website, the commercial arrangement, and the health specific points a general licence does not address.

Section 2: Health, and the limits of a tracker

Ketocado is a tracking tool, not a medical device and not a clinician. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical, nutritional or clinical advice, and no result is promised.

Intermittent fasting and ketogenic eating suit many people and do not suit others. Some people should not fast at all. Talk to a doctor before you start if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have diabetes or take medication where a missed meal matters, if you have a history of disordered eating, if you have kidney, liver, heart or gallbladder disease, or if you are under 18.

Calorie targets, protein targets and weight projections in the app are arithmetic on the numbers you enter, using standard published formulas. They are estimates about an average person, not a prediction about you, and the app says so where they appear. Decisions about your own health are yours, made with a professional who knows your history.

The recipes are written to be vegan and to fit a ketogenic carb range. They are not allergen checked. If you have an allergy, read the ingredients yourself. Nutrition figures are calculated from reference values for the ingredients and will differ from what you actually make.

Section 3: What you get for free, and what you pay for

A substantial part of the app is free and stays free, with no time limit and no account: the 16:8 fasting schedule, starting, ending and editing a fast, the stage timeline, the week view, your current streak, the fast notifications, all of onboarding, and 5 recipes.

Ketocado Pro unlocks the rest: every other schedule and custom windows, day overrides, food logging, the full recipe catalog, streak history, the weight projection and weekly reviews, widgets and the Live Activity, and CSV export.

Section 4: The subscription, and how it renews

Pro is sold three ways: 1.99 USD a week, 29.99 USD a year, or 39.99 USD once as a permanent unlock. Prices are set per storefront by Apple's equalised tiers, so the amount in your own currency is the one the app shows you before you buy.

The yearly plan includes a 7 day free trial for anyone eligible. Introductory offers are granted once per subscription group by Apple, so if you have subscribed to Ketocado before you may not be eligible, and the app tells you rather than promising a trial you cannot have.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. A free trial that is not cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends becomes a paid year.

Manage or cancel any time in Settings, your name, Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end. We cannot cancel it for you, because the purchase is with Apple rather than with us.

The lifetime purchase is a single payment with no renewal. It covers this app on the Apple Account that bought it, including future updates to it. It is not a promise that the app will exist forever, and it does not cover other apps.

Section 5: Refunds

All purchases go through Apple, so all refunds do too. We cannot issue one. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple decides, under its own terms and the consumer law where you live.

If something in the app is broken, write to us first. A fix helps everyone, and it is usually faster than a refund.

Section 6: If a purchase does not unlock

Tap Restore purchases in the app, under Me, Subscription. That asks Apple again with the Apple Account signed in on the device. If the purchase was made on a different Apple Account, sign in to that one first, because entitlements belong to the account and not to the device.

If it still does not unlock, write to us with the date and the approximate time of purchase and we will help work out what happened.

Section 7: Your data

What you log is yours. It lives on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. We have no copy and no way to get one. The privacy policy sets this out in full.

Export your data as CSV at any time from Me, Export data. Delete it at any time from Me, Delete all data.

Section 8: What we do not promise

The app is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be free of bugs, that sync will always be instant, that a notification will always arrive, or that it will suit your particular circumstances. iOS decides when a background task runs and when a notification is delivered, and we cannot override that.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected by this page.

Section 9: Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. A change that affects an existing subscription will be communicated before it applies.
