Irdora support
Everything below applies to Irdora for iPhone and iPad. If your question is not answered here, write to me and a human will reply.

Never send me a recording to prove a problem. Conversations are private and I have no way to receive them safely. Describe what happened instead. It helps to include your iPhone model and iOS version, what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
Start here
Open Irdora on an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. The first time, Irdora prepares its speech model, which it downloads from Apple. It is a large download, so use Wi-Fi if you can. Then tap record, have the conversation, and stop. Irdora works on the recording in the background and sends a notification when it is ready to read. The notification gives the length of the recording and nothing that was said.
The user guide covers every step from the first recording to the exported file.
Recording
Can Irdora record a phone call?
Not directly. iOS does not let an app record the audio of a phone or FaceTime call. Irdora records through the microphone, so it is made for conversations in the room.
Is it all right to record people?
Where you live, recording other people may need their permission. Irdora shows a note about this before your first recording, and the instruction in it is to let people know before you start.
What if I lock the iPhone or switch to another app?
Recording carries on. A Live Activity on the Lock Screen shows the time and has a Stop button.
What if Irdora closes while I am recording?
Irdora writes the audio to storage as you speak. The next time it opens, it looks for recordings that never got saved and adds them to your library, marked Recovered after Irdora closed unexpectedly.
I was not told when my recording was ready.
Irdora asks to send notifications after your first recording. If you said no, turn them on for Irdora in the iPhone's Settings, under Notifications. Irdora's own Settings screen also shows whether they are on. The work does not depend on the notification: open Irdora and the recording is in your library.
Summaries and transcripts
The summary uses the wrong template.
Irdora suggests a template from the first minute of the conversation, and you can choose another one. Add a summary in another template keeps the first summary and writes a second beside it. Rewrite the summary takes a short instruction, such as "shorter", and keeps the version before until you choose.
A speaker is wrong, or shows as a number.
Speakers are numbered at first. Tap a speaker's label in the transcript to give a name, and the name replaces the number everywhere in that recording. Telling speakers apart is good and not perfect: a short reply can be given to the wrong speaker, and one voice can be split into 2 speakers. Tap a sentence to hear who said it.
There is a transcript but no summary.
Summaries are written in the languages Apple's on-device model supports. A recording in another language keeps its transcript, speakers and playback, and the summary area lists the languages that summaries support.
Can I trust the numbers in a summary?
Doses, dates, amounts and names are copied from the transcript as said, never worked out, and a point that holds a number nobody said is discarded. The summary is still written by a small on-device model and can miss a point. Tap a point to open the transcript where it was said, and tap a sentence to hear it.
Asking a recording says "That was not found in this recording."
That is the answer when the recording does not contain one. Irdora does not guess. Try a question that uses a word someone actually said.
iCloud
What does iCloud sync send?
Sync is off until you turn it on, when you first set up Irdora or later in Settings, under Sync with iCloud. When it is on, titles, transcripts, summaries, series, speaker names and templates go to your own private iCloud database so they reach your other devices. A recording's audio never goes: it stays on the device that recorded it. A change takes effect the next time Irdora opens.
Why can I not play a recording on my other device?
Because the audio stays on the device that recorded it. On the other device you can read the transcript and summary, ask questions, export and have them read aloud, and the transcript says the audio is not on that device. Until the transcript arrives, a recording shows Transcribing on the device that recorded it.
How do I stop syncing and remove what was sent?
Turn off Sync with iCloud in Irdora's Settings. That stops Irdora sending. What was already sent stays in your iCloud until you delete it in the iPhone's Settings, under iCloud storage. I cannot read your iCloud and cannot delete from it for you.
Price and purchase
What does Irdora cost?
Irdora Pro is required to use the app. It is a lifetime one-time purchase, a yearly subscription with a 3-day free trial, or a weekly subscription. The prices are shown in the app, taken from the App Store. If a plan ends, your recordings stay on your device: you can still read, read aloud, export, share and delete them, and play them on the device that recorded them. Recording and new summaries need Irdora Pro.
What happens to my recordings if my plan ends?
They stay on your device. Irdora opens with a notice, and you can still read the summaries and transcripts, read aloud, export, share, delete recordings and rename speakers, and play a recording on the device that recorded it. Recording, writing another template or a rewrite, drawing a mind map, asking, changing a series and adding to Reminders or Calendar offer Irdora Pro. Nothing is deleted.
I bought Irdora Pro but the app asks me to buy it.
Tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen, or in Settings. If you bought it with a different Apple Account, sign in with that one first. If it still does not unlock, write to me with the date of the purchase.
How do I cancel a subscription or end the trial?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Irdora. Irdora's own Settings has a Manage subscription button too. If you start the free trial and Irdora's notifications are on, Irdora sends a notification the day before it ends.
Can I get a refund?
Apple takes the payment, so Apple decides refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. I receive no payment details and cannot see who bought what.
Requirements
For summaries, action items, mind maps and answers: an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, an iPad with an M1 chip or later, or an iPad mini with A17 Pro, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Recording, transcripts and speakers work without it, and the purchase screen says so before you buy. iCloud is optional: without it everything stays on the iPhone.
Nothing you record is sent to me. The privacy policy lists every connection Irdora makes.
